Extreme Calima (duststorm) in Canary Islands (video).

There is a huge duststorm over Canary Islands like i have never seen. We call it Calima and it happens when wind carries dust from Sahara and Africa. It usually reduce the visibility a bit but this time it is impossible to see over 500m. The two airports in Tenerife are closed and the one in Gran Canaria is also closed. It is difficult to breath outdoors and the carnival festivities in the nort of the island have been cancelled, and believe me, people from Canary islands are willing to die for the carnival, so it means it is fucking serious.

Recommendations are to stay home, drink a lot of water, do not exercise and try not to go outside. There are also strong winds and it is supposed to go worst tonight.

The good thing is that everything looks like Mad Max 😛
