The amazing Sinkhole beaches of Asturias.

One of the most amazing things we found in Asturias (apart from Sr Interior and Patri) were the sinkhole beaches. The geology of that part of spain is truly incredible. There are sinkholes, dolinas, caves and a lot of interesting structures.

So what is a sinkhole beach? It is a beach that is 50, 100, 200meters from the sea. Usually near a cliff, the unndergound cave system collapses, allowing the seawater to dig through the cliffs and the rock until it reaches the dolina, creating a beach. So at first sight they look like cenotes, if you ever went to mexico, or beautiful lagoons. But they have tides, and sometimes the water comes through a siphon creating waves.

They are really beautiful. We went to Gulpiyuri beach, that is very famous and there was people there. But then, friends from the north, @p`layinlatexx, told us about this other place called Cobijero that was even more beautiful. We camped there and went first time in the morning to swim 🙂

The cave system that creates the cobijero beach is big and there is a hole in the side of the hill that leads to a dry cave. I will post about this in a couple of days 🙂

Gulpiyuri beach 🙂

And some pictures from the amazing Cobijero beach 🙂 As always, we took extra pictures for the onlyfans page 🙂

I have some videos que i will upload when i have time 🙂
